Lori KatzMedical Communications Strategy and Implementation
Lori is an expert in developing and implementing professional communication strategies, focusing in such areas as key opinion leader (KOL) development, medical education, and professional advocacy. Her key strength, the ability to distill clinical data, business objectives and market analysis into powerful marketing messages and programs, stems from nearly two decades on the front lines of pharmaceutical marketing and scientific medicine. She has developed particular expertise in identifying synergistic professional, patient, and consumer platforms for Rx, OTC and Rx-to-OTC switch products.
Currently, Lori leads Cogent Medical Marketing, a firm she founded in 2005, where she oversees all aspects of client service, inspiring innovative marketing solutions, monitoring staff productivity, and ensuring programs met the highest legal and ethical standards. Previously, she served as Managing Director for for the medical education division of Euro RSCG, where she led a team developing and implementing pre-approval and post-launch strategies for a number of new product launches for such clients as Pfizer, Wyeth and Amgen.
Earlier, she was Senior Vice President for Sciens Worldwide, a division of Nelson Communications. Her role included leading: KOL and advisory board development; publication strategy development, planning and implementation; symposia, speaker training, patient education strategy and implementation; Phase IV research strategy; FDA advisory committee preparedness; and media relations.
A graduate of Muhlenberg College, Lori is a member of the Healthcare Communication and Marketing Association and the Healthcare Businesswomen's Association.
