Susan joined NCI Consulting℠ in 1990 and was named President in 1995. She brings extensive executive management and healthcare experience to her role.
Under Susan's leadership, NCI Consulting has become a premier strategic resource to the healthcare industry, focusing on commercial maximization through opportunity identification, growth strategy development, competitive scenario planning, and lifecycle plan development. With over 30 years in the pharmaceutical industry, Susan has deep experience building client businesses.
An expert facilitator and strategic thinker, Susan enjoys hands-on involvement with client teams; she has supported early development and brand teams in over 50 categories, for large companies as well as smaller ones. In the process, she has worked on nine, first-in-class market entries and has provided competitive strategy and lifecycle planning support for many of the world's largest-selling Rx and OTC brands. In addition, she is one of the leading experts in Rx-to-OTC switch strategy development, opportunity assessment, and plan development. Her opinion is regularly sought and quoted by both general news and industry publications.
Prior to joining NCI, Susan spent most of her career rising through the management ranks of Johnson & Johnson, working in such areas as pain management, respiratory diseases, and new products, culminating with leadership of the global Therapeutic Skin Care business. In this last position, Susan had operating responsibility for all US adult skin care businesses. She also had responsibility for global strategy development and Rx-to-OTC switch.
Susan has an MBA in Marketing and Finance from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University and a BA from Swarthmore College.
